About this opportunity

The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District is seeking a contractor to perform turnkey services for the CEP & ECEP Chiller #8 Overhauls project, which involves comprehensive maintenance and servicing of York-manufactured centrifugal chillers located at the Central Energy Plant and Epcot Central Energy Plant. The scope of work encompasses labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to overhaul motors, compressors, and condenser tubes during a 1-year contract term. Contractors must possess specific qualifications, including an American Society for Nondestructive Testing "ASNT SNT-TC-1a" level II certification for eddy current testing and a State of Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation Mechanical Contractor License. A non-mandatory site visit is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 9:00 A.M. at the Central Energy Plant Large Maintenance Conference Room, with all attendees required to RSVP through PlanetBids by August 5, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. Participants must wear appropriate safety gear including closed-toe shoes, pants, hard hat, safety vest, and eye and ear protection.

The procurement opportunity is open to registered vendors on the PlanetBids platform, with the district offering potential bid preferences for local vendors, veteran small businesses, and opportunity zone businesses. Interested contractors must complete full vendor registration to submit questions and bids electronically, which ensures transparency and fairness in the competitive bidding process. While specific award values were not explicitly stated, the project involves critical infrastructure maintenance for energy plants in Orange County, Florida. The procurement contact is Sara Medina, Procurement Analyst, who can be reached at (689) 246-5346 for additional information. Vendors should note that while bid documents can be viewed without registration, submitting a bid requires complete vendor registration through the CFTOD Bid Portal, with the ultimate goal of selecting a qualified contractor to perform the comprehensive chiller overhaul services.
