About this opportunity
The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia, acting for the College of Coastal Georgia, is soliciting sealed bids to replace HVAC pumps at the Camden Center under Project CCGA-2706, with a mandatory pre-bid conference on November 19, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. and bids due December 3, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Eastern. The solicitation designates no set-aside or preference program. The bidder qualifications form collects MBE and GMBE status for recordkeeping only, and the contract documents encourage minority business enterprise participation.
Bidders must hold state licensure, demonstrate minimum construction experience under Section 01 4000 Quality Requirements, and submit a written Statement of Qualifications. They must not be debarred, suspended, or excluded by any state or federal agency, must not have been terminated for cause or be in default on public works contracts, must show a Current Ratio of 1.0 or higher, and must maintain an Experience Modification Rate not exceeding an average of 1.2 over three years. A bid bond of not less than 5 percent of the bid amount must accompany each bid, and performance and payment bonds each equal to 100 percent of the Contract Sum are required before execution. The contract incorporates compliance with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act.
The scope covers replacing chilled water supply and return pumps, boiler pumps, heating water pumps, and tower pumps. Work includes removing existing chillers, pumps, and starters, and installing new pumps, variable frequency drives, and combination starters in Mechanical Room 131H and the facility yard. Pump schedules specify flow ratings from 75 to 600 GPM, and the work requires coordination between mechanical and electrical divisions. Bidding documents are available from the design professional, NBP Engineers, Inc., at (478) 745-1691.
Award is lump sum to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder within budget. The solicitation does not state a contract value. The owner may reject all bids, negotiate with the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, or supplement the budget to bring costs within limits. Material completion is due within a specified number of consecutive calendar days from the Proceed Order, and pre-commencement services must begin at the Effective Date and finish within 120 days. Bids may not be withdrawn for thirty-five days after opening.
