About this opportunity
The State of Maine, Division of Purchases, is soliciting bids for 2009 calendar pads with bids due September 3, 2008. In-state bidders and those offering commodities produced or manufactured in Maine receive tie-bid preference.
At-A-Glance is the approved brand; alternate brands will be considered with prior approval and sample submission. The State requests recycled products wherever practical and will give consideration to awards for recycled-content items. Bidders must indicate willingness to accept additional calendar orders on an as-needed basis after the initial order is fulfilled, including any conditions and turnaround times.
All delivery must be made to the Division of Purchases Central Warehouse at 85 Leighton Road, Augusta, Maine 04333 on 40 x 48 non-exchangeable pallets during receiving hours of 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Contractors must contact the warehouse 24 hours prior to delivery and are responsible for first-class condition on arrival. Net pricing must include all transportation and delivery charges fully prepaid by the contractor to the single specified destination. Partial shipments may be arranged with prior approval from Tina Lapierre or Andy Vellani.
Awards will be made to the lowest responsible bidder based on best value, including quality, conformity with specifications, delivery date, and ultimate cost to the State. The Division reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive formalities, accept individual items, and increase or decrease quantities by up to 10 percent. Awards will be made by individual item, group of items, or by lot based on the State's best interest.
The State requires vendors to accept the Procurement Card as a payment method with no surcharges allowed. Failure to meet delivery terms may result in contract termination and loss of contract, with associated costs deductible from pending invoices. The Division reserves the right to cancel any contract or blanket purchase order with thirty days' written notice or immediately if the contractor fails to conform to contract terms and conditions.
