The project involves furnishing and installing an advanced AV infrastructure across multiple spaces, including five classrooms, nursing skills labs, simulation suites, offices, a conference room, study spaces, and the Northern Innovation and Startup Center. Deliverables include network-connected displays, projection systems, audio processors, control systems, wireless presentation devices, and PTZ cameras that must be fully integrated and functional. The RFP requires contractors to demonstrate technical expertise through manufacturer certifications and AVIXA credentials, with a focus on system performance and compatibility. Key dates include a proposal submission deadline of May 30, 2025, with an anticipated award decision on June 13, 2025. The building's substantial completion date is December 9, 2025, with AV systems required to be fully operational by January 5, 2026, in preparation for spring classes beginning January 12, 2026. Contractors must submit technical proposals and can direct inquiries to Sean Meyers at sean.meyers@northern.edu with the specific subject line "RFP #NSU-2501".

While no specific set-aside designations or restrictions on respondents are explicitly mentioned in the provided documentation, the RFP emphasizes technical qualifications and system integration capabilities. The project requires comprehensive integration with NSU's existing technological infrastructure, suggesting a preference for vendors with demonstrated experience in complex educational technology environments. Specific budget ranges are not detailed in the available documents, though the project involves a substantial AV installation across multiple spaces in a new facility. Potential bidders will need to provide complete pricing for equipment, installation, integration, training, and post-installation support. The project appears to require sophisticated AV expertise, with an emphasis on seamless technological integration across diverse educational spaces including business and healthcare learning environments. Contractors will be expected to provide end-to-end solutions, including equipment procurement, precise installation, system testing, and comprehensive staff training to ensure optimal functionality of the AV systems.
