About this opportunity

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) is seeking a Blanket Purchase Order (BPO) for ice machine repairs and maintenance across five of its facilities in Dallas County, Texas. The procurement covers comprehensive services for 29 regular-size and 6 under-counter ice machines located at ED Campus, NWROF, NWBOF, SOC, and CROF locations. Successful vendors must have technicians certified in commercial ice machine repair and provide complete repair, maintenance, cleaning, and sanitation services, including component replacements and performance testing. The contract's base performance period is 12 months, with options to renew for two additional one-year periods. Vendors are required to submit detailed unit rates for repair services, with response times specified as 24 hours for non-emergency issues and 4 hours for emergency repairs. The solicitation requires registration through the Bonfire platform, with all proposals due by November 17, 2025. Key deliverables include comprehensive repair work orders and itemized invoices detailing labor, parts, and materials.

No specific set-aside designations or enterprise restrictions were explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents. The procurement appears open to qualified commercial ice machine repair vendors who can meet DART's technical and operational requirements. While no incumbent vendors were identified, the contract requires vendors to have access to original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts and comply with DART safety and security protocols. Payment terms are established at Net 30, with invoices to be submitted electronically to APInvoices@dart.org. Although a specific budget range was not disclosed, vendors will be evaluated based on their submitted unit rates for repair, maintenance, and cleaning services across the specified ice machine types. The procurement follows standard DART procurement processes, with all legal and operational terms governed under Texas state law and with any potential legal venue situated in Dallas County.
