About this opportunity
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is requesting proposals for boundary line maintenance services—brushing, blazing, painting, and placing state boundary signs—across nine Wildlife Management Areas, with proposals due August 28, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. under RFP-F-G-2027-01. Each property must be bid separately. Work cannot be subcontracted and must be performed by the selected vendor.
The scope covers nine WMA properties ranging from 98 to 989 acres: Cocheco River (6.1 miles of boundary), Cemetery Hill (2.5 miles), Bellamy River East/West (8.3 miles), Carpenters Marsh (4.0 miles), Eva's Marsh (1.8 miles), Leonard (9.0 miles), Corey (4.7 miles), and Hoit Road Marsh (4.7 miles). Work includes brushing five feet horizontally and six feet vertically along boundary lines, painting rectangular blazes minimum 2 inches by 4 inches in orange, installing 3-inch by 9-inch boundary signs approximately every 250 feet and 3-inch by 7-inch corner signs at monumented corners, and removing old blazes and signs. The State supplies paint, aluminum nails, and boundary signs; the awardee returns all unused materials upon completion.
Awards will be made on a not-to-exceed lump-sum basis to the highest-scoring vendor. The evaluation weights technical qualifications (company experience and qualifications, key personnel biography, references, and project plan explanation) at 40 points maximum and price proposal at 25 points maximum, for a total 65 points. The contract runs from Governor and Executive Council approval through June 30, 2027, with an optional one-year extension at the Agency's discretion. Contract approval is estimated for October 21, 2026. The RFP inquiry period ends August 14, 2026. Bob Weir (Project Administrator) will accept or reject work based on compliance with scope specifications.
