The contract term is three years with two optional one-year renewal periods at the County's discretion, at the same prices, terms, and conditions. Pricing must be firm fixed price for the entire contract period and renewal periods. Bidders must submit references for substantially similar work completed within the past seven years, an equipment list, and proof of proper active licenses and permits. Insurance requirements include workers' compensation; general liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence / $2,000,000 aggregate); automobile liability ($1,000,000 combined single limit); and pollution liability ($1,000,000 per occurrence and aggregate), with excess/umbrella coverage of $1,000,000 and Hernando County named as additional insured. Payment is made no less than forty-five days per Florida Statutes Chapter 218. Site inspections are encouraged; a pre-work meeting is mandatory within fourteen days of contract effective date. Award is made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
