About this opportunity
Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is requesting sealed bids for mechanical and electrical improvements at the Bethesda Park Aquatic Center under BL069-22, with bids due June 23, 2022 at 2:50 p.m. and a mandatory pre-bid conference on June 8, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. Firms on the Gwinnett County ineligible source list are barred from submitting.
The base bid scope is ductwork replacement; an alternate bid encompasses electrical improvements including lighting replacement. Work must proceed with the pool operational, with the ability to close sections as needed. The contractor must remove all abandoned electrical conduits back to the source of supply, replace all contactors with new units maintaining current settings, and place plywood protection on the pool deck to prevent damage to drains and skimmers. Contractors are responsible for any damage resulting from project work. Lighting fixtures not specifically named in the contract documents require substitution approval; equivalent items are accepted only if they meet all specified standards of quality and purpose. Specified lighting fixtures must be ETL listed for power quality compliance. Electrical contractors may bid as standalone entities, subject to special provisions outlined in section 26 5000-2.
All bids must be submitted in duplicate with a sealed container marked with BL069-22 and company name, delivered to the Gwinnett County Purchasing Division, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia. A bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check equal to five percent of the total bid amount is required. The successful contractor must provide 100 percent performance and payment bonds from companies licensed by the Georgia Secretary of State with an A.M. Best rating of A-5 or higher. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Questions are due by 3:00 p.m. on June 9, 2022, directed to Jake Scarpone, Purchasing Associate II. Complete plans and documents are available at no cost from Foresite Group, Inc., Anthony Pappas, 3740 Davinci Court, Suite 100, Peachtree Corners, Georgia 30092.
