About this opportunity
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is seeking competitive proposals for avionics special mission modifications, retrofits, and upgrades for its fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft. The successful contractor must have FAA certifications, repair station capabilities, and maintenance facilities located within Brevard County to allow for FWC project management oversight. The contractor must have the ability to provide priority service and scheduling to reduce aircraft downtime, and have an FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) on staff to support the complexity of the aircraft modification projects. The RFP lists the current FWC aircraft models and provides detailed pricing sheets for both fixed-wing and helicopter aircraft. Responses are due by August 16, 2022, and the Commission anticipates making an award on September 14, 2022. The contract will be effective for three (3) years from the date of award, with the option to renew for up to three (3) additional years.
The RFP encourages diversity in procurement and permits subcontracting, but the contractor must comply with all state and federal laws, including requirements related to the use of the E-Verify system. The RFP also outlines financial consequences for failing to meet deliverable timeframes or complete tasks satisfactorily. Interested parties must be registered in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system and with Sunbiz prior to the bid opening. No specific set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond are mentioned, and no incumbent vendors or budget ranges are provided.
