The scope encompasses removal of all sediment, debris, sticks, tree limbs, trash, and foreign materials submerged within the intake structure and on the river side. The contractor must furnish all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to remove, contain, transport, and discharge materials to a holding area approved by the City's designated contact. Sediment containment and discharge methods require City approval prior to work commencement. The contractor is responsible for proper handling and disposal of all removed materials in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental requirements. The scope also includes a DVD video inspection and written report with color photographs assessing condition of major intake components and inspection of the 36-inch intake pipe extending approximately 50 feet into the river.
Pricing must be submitted as a lump-sum total encompassing all labor, equipment, materials, parts, accessories, and freight. The contract term is one year from execution, contingent upon City Council approval. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Bidders must provide subcontractor names, three professional references demonstrating similar services experience within the last five years, and certificates of comprehensive general liability insurance (minimum $1 million), automotive insurance, and workers' compensation insurance prior to work commencement. Written questions are due November 5, 2026. Final payment is due upon completion, City acceptance, and submission of final invoice.
