About this opportunity

The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Department of Military Affairs, is seeking quotes for the removal and disposal of asbestos-containing materials from Building 147 at the Bluegrass Station in Lexington, Kentucky. The scope of work includes the removal of approximately 1,200 linear feet of asbestos-containing piping wrap and pipe joint compound, as well as the removal of asbestos-containing window glazing from 8 windows. The vendor must secure all required permits, notifications, and licenses, set up containment and negative air machines, properly dispose of all asbestos-containing materials, and follow all applicable EPA and OSHA regulations. The period of performance is 60 consecutive days from contract award. Quotes must be submitted as a firm, fixed price for the entire project, and the Commonwealth of Kentucky is exempt from federal excise and state sales taxes.

The contract will be awarded to the vendor submitting the lowest priced, responsive bid in accordance with Kentucky state law. Partial payments are prohibited unless otherwise specified. The Commonwealth reserves the right to award the items separately or to a single bidder based on the best interest of the Commonwealth. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, and no information is provided about any incumbent vendors or current contractors. The budget for this project is not specified.
