About this opportunity
The Maryland Department of Transportation Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) is seeking bids for a five-year Forklift Maintenance and Service contract. The contract will provide a comprehensive maintenance program for various manufacturer and model forklifts, including scheduled and unscheduled inspections, preventative maintenance, service, and repair. Key deliverables include two preventative maintenance services per forklift annually, as well as an annual allowance for parts and materials, hourly labor, and towing. Bidders must have experience performing forklift maintenance, servicing, testing, and certifying, and the ability to provide service during normal business hours. Pricing will be evaluated on a low bid basis.
The procurement was initially designated as a Small Business Reserve, but has since been opened to all potential vendors. There are no Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) or Veteran-Owned Small Business Enterprise (VSBE) subcontracting goals. The total estimated contract value over the five-year period is $175,000. An incumbent contractor is not identified, and the contract will be funded without federal sources.
