About this opportunity

Stamford Public Schools (SPS) in Fairfield County, Connecticut, has issued Request for Proposal (RFP) 22-17, seeking qualified Community Agencies to collaborate on innovative, evidence-based afterschool programs for students in grades K-12. The procurement aims to support comprehensive programming that addresses students' academic, social, emotional, and mental health needs. Selected Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) will work in tandem with school staff, offering between one and 12 program offerings per week and providing a dedicated coordinator to help manage these offerings. The RFP solicitation period runs from August 12, 2022, to August 26, 2022, with a vendor Q&A period from August 12 to August 19, 2022. Interested organizations must submit proposals by August 26, 2022, at 2:30 PM EDT, with technical questions directed to Cheryl Poltrack, Director of Innovative Programs, and purchasing questions handled by Vivens Joachim, BOE Management Analyst/Purchasing Agent. The selection will be based on the organization's ability to deliver high-quality, evidence-based programming that aligns with SPS's goals for student support and development.

The RFP does not specify any set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond, indicating the opportunity is open to all qualified vendors. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the documentation. The solicitation does not provide an estimated total contract value or specific budget range, leaving pricing terms to be vendor-specified. Delivery terms are specified as Free On Board Destination, and the full RFP documentation is available through the Stamford Public Schools website under the finance and purchasing department section. The selected CBO will not be expected to manage the entire afterschool program but will work collaboratively with school staff to provide supplemental programming. Interested organizations should review the detailed "Scope of Services" section to understand the specific requirements and expectations for delivering afterschool programs that support student academic and personal development.
