About this opportunity

The County of Orange, Sheriff-Coroner Department is seeking competitive bids for aftermarket kitchen equipment and repairs through a fully electronic solicitation. The procurement targets replacement and repair parts and materials for commercial kitchen equipment, specifically including Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and approved aftermarket parts from 32 specified manufacturers such as Amana, Hobart, Traulsen, and True. The County requires no minimum order size, with delivery expectations of in-stock items within 48 hours and maximum delivery of 14 calendar days. Bidders must provide firm, fixed pricing for each line item as a percentage markup, with pricing valid for the entire contract term. Key submission requirements include company information, references, certifications, California contractor's licensing, DUNS and Unique Entity Identifier numbers, insurance certificates, and compliance documentation. The solicitation has critical dates including a question submission deadline of December 16, 2025 at 4:00 PM and a bid submission deadline of January 7, 2026 at 4:30 PM, with all submissions required through the County's online bidding system. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and will be valid for 365 days after the closing date.

The County offers preference deductions for certified businesses, specifically a 5 percent preference for Orange County Local Small Business (OCLSB) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) bidders, with an 8 percent preference for businesses certified as both OCLSB and DVBE. The maximum allowable preference deduction is $100,000. Bidders must guarantee prices equal to or less than those quoted to other local, state, or federal government entities and automatically extend all volume discounts and promotional pricing to the County. The contract includes cooperative procurement provisions allowing other governmental and non-profit entities to utilize the contract terms and pricing, with the contractor required to pay a two percent administrative rebate on subordinate contract sales. While no specific award value is explicitly stated, the comprehensive nature of the procurement suggests a potentially significant contract opportunity. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, make multiple awards to different vendors, defer award for up to 90 days, and negotiate with the lowest responsive bidder. Delivery of goods and services must occur during normal operational hours (7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, excluding holidays) at the Sheriff-Coroner Department facility in Orange, California.
