About this opportunity

The Georgia Department of Transportation is seeking bids to establish an open agency contract for purchase, installation, and maintenance of an aerial flight management system and GPS/IMU software and hardware, with bids due June 10, 2011. The Department intends to make a single award to the lowest responsive and responsible vendor.

All hardware must conform to ISO 7137, RTCA DO-160F, EUROCAE-14E, and FAR 23.561. The flight management system must interface with the RC30 film camera and industry-standard digital camera upgrades. The RC30 interface unit must be equivalent to the Leica RCIF30 or better. All hardware and software must be compatible with the on-board VI-01 Intervalometer System — these technical requirements are decision-gate items.

The Department is not obligated to purchase minimum or maximum quantities. The initial contract term runs from execution date through June 30, 2011, with renewal options for up to four additional one-year terms (July 1 through June 30 annually). Bidders are encouraged to be registered with the Georgia Secretary of State or the corresponding agency in their state of headquarters. Vendors must provide the company's full legal name as registered, and signatures must be from the company principal or authorized agent; failure to provide accurate information may result in bid rejection.

Questions must be submitted in writing via email to Percival Griffiths, pgriffiths@dot.ga.gov, by June 1, 2011. Only written responses are binding. Solicitation documents requiring signatures and data responses must be downloaded, completed, and uploaded within the TGM System as part of the overall bid response. The Department reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
