About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) is seeking to procure advocacy services from the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center for a 5-year term. The services are required to provide inmates access to outside victim advocates for emotional support services related to sexual abuse, in accordance with the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA). The Department has determined the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center, as the designated certified rape crisis center for various correctional institutions in Escambia County, is the only vendor that can meet its needs to maintain PREA compliance at this time. The estimated value of the contract is $52,258.00 over the 5-year term. Prospective vendors are requested to provide information regarding their ability to supply the required services, and if it is determined they are only available from a single source, the agency will provide notice of its intended decision to enter a single-source purchase contract. The contract opportunity has a due date of December 26, 2022.

This is a sole-source procurement, as the Department has determined the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center is the only vendor that can provide the required services. There are no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The incumbent vendor is the Gulf Coast Children's Advocacy Center, and the funding source is the state.
