About this opportunity
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), Bureau of Design and Construction, is conducting a competitive sealed bid solicitation (DEP Bid No. BDC18-25/26) for the Manatee Springs State Park - Connect to the Municipalities project located in Leon County, Florida. This procurement involves infrastructure construction and utility system improvements at Manatee Springs State Park, specifically including the design and installation of a restroom and concession stand system with associated lift station components, septic systems, and related utilities to connect park facilities to municipal services. Key deliverables include the construction of a 10-foot-deep, 4-foot-diameter wet well for the restroom/concession lift station, installation of non-traffic-rated tanks in areas not subject to vehicular loading, and implementation of the septic and wastewater systems detailed in the revised plans and septic report. Bidders must comply with Florida Administrative Code 62-6 standards and are required to acknowledge receipt of Addendum No. 2 by signing and submitting the addendum with their bid proposals. The bid submission deadline is March 3, 2026, and all proposals must be submitted to Logan Lee-Marple, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Boulevard, MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida 32399-3000. Failure to include the signed addendum may result in bid rejection. Updated plans and specifications are available on the DEP public files website, and bidders may direct technical questions to Logan.LeeMarple@FloridaDEP.gov.
The procurement documents do not specify set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise restrictions, or preferences for particular organizational types at this time. No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the available documentation. The revised bid package supersedes all original documents and incorporates updated plans for Sheets C104 and C503 addressing the lift station details, with any design variations to be reviewed during construction through the shop drawing process. Tree protection barriers are not required per Levy County standards. The specific contract award value and budget range are not disclosed in the addendum materials; interested bidders should contact the Bureau of Design and Construction for additional procurement details and financial information regarding this infrastructure improvement project.
