About this opportunity
The state and local contract opportunity is a paint rehabilitation project for Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) under Bid No. BDC46-24/25. The procurement is specifically located in Leon County and involves painting rehabilitation services for the state park facility. The addendum, dated March 26, 2025, indicates that the bid is currently in the solicitation phase, with proposals due by April 8, 2025. Interested contractors must submit their bids to Logan Lee-Marple, Contracts Specialist, at the Bureau of Design and Construction located in Tallahassee, Florida. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of the addendum by signing the document and including it with their submission, with failure to do so potentially resulting in bid rejection. The addendum specifically clarifies that Longshoreman & Harbormaster's/Jones Act Insurance is not applicable or required for this project, providing important guidance for potential bidders.
While the detailed documentation does not explicitly outline set-aside designations or specific vendor restrictions, the procurement appears to be a standard state-level competitive bidding process open to qualified contractors capable of performing paint rehabilitation work. The contract opportunity is specifically focused on the state park facility, suggesting that contractors should have experience in exterior painting, restoration, and maintenance of large-scale government infrastructure. No specific incumbent vendors or current contractors are mentioned in the available documentation. Additionally, no explicit budget range or award value is provided in the addendum. The procurement seems to be a straightforward painting rehabilitation project that requires contractors to carefully review and comply with all submission requirements, including the proper acknowledgment of the addendum to ensure bid responsiveness.
