About this opportunity
Mott Community College (MCC) is seeking to procure one to three ADA compliant testing studios for its library, targeting the accommodation of students with disabilities. The Request for Proposal (RFP-KD-1025-TestingStudio) was issued on October 29, 2025, with proposals due by November 7, 2025, at 3:00 PM EST. Each testing studio must include specific requirements: power and internet connectivity, comprehensive soundproofing to block external and internal noise, privacy features, and the ability to accommodate one student and one proctor and/or interpreter. Vendors must submit detailed proposals through BidNetDirect, including unit pricing for one, two, and three studios, along with delivery, installation, and setup costs. Additional submission requirements include an updated W-9, comprehensive warranty information, specifications on stock availability, lead times, and any consortium contract pricing. The studios must feature a securely closable door, meet ADA compliance standards, and include seating and a table for two individuals. Evaluation criteria will likely focus on technical specifications, pricing, warranty coverage, and ability to meet the specified requirements.
The procurement is open to all vendors and does not appear to have specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. MCC is part of multiple consortium agreements, including Omnia Partners, REMC, HPS, MiDeal, E&I, and Sourcewell, which may provide additional pricing or procurement flexibility. The college operates under tax-exempt status and standard Net 30 payment terms. While specific budget ranges are not explicitly stated, the solicitation suggests the potential for multiple studio purchases, which could indicate a project value potentially ranging from $25,000 to $75,000 depending on the number of studios and associated installation costs. The college emphasizes its commitment to non-discrimination and equal opportunity in the procurement process. Vendors should be prepared to provide comprehensive documentation, including detailed technical specifications, pricing breakdowns, warranty information, and proof of ADA compliance for the proposed testing studios.
