90s058 Digital Flatbed Sign Cutter CSS

This is a competitive bid opportunity issued by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for the procurement of a heavy-duty, digital flatbed cutting machine. The machine will be used to cut letters, numbers, and shapes for the fabrication of highway signs, with the capacity to store large amounts of such items for cutting as needed. The machine must have a 4' by 8' cutting base capable of cutting 0.75" thick material, utilizing two configurable cutting tools, and include standard accessories such as crop mark detection, creasing tools, and associated software. The successful bidder will be required to provide delivery, unpacking, assembly, and training for IDOT personnel on the operation and maintenance of the equipment. A full one-year warranty on the machine and on-site demonstrations for state personnel upon request are also required. The bid response deadline is November 30, 2018.

The procurement is open to all qualified vendors, with no set-aside designations or restrictions on the types of organizations that can respond. The bid evaluation will consider the vendor's ability to provide prompt parts and service availability within Illinois. Details on pricing, funding sources, and award values are not explicitly provided in the available information. However, this appears to be a single-award contract opportunity for the supply of one digital flatbed cutting machine to the State of Illinois Department of Transportation.
