About this opportunity
This state and local contract opportunity is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Texas State University for the selection of a qualified vendor(s) to provide Low Voltage Electrical services to the University across Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties in Texas. The services requested include electrical work on equipment and apparatuses involving low voltage ratings, troubleshooting electrical equipment, installation and removal of equipment, and code upgrades. The contract will have an initial one-year term, with the University having the option to renew for four additional one-year terms. A non-mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on October 11, 2023, and proposals are due by October 26, 2023 at 2:30 PM CT. The University will evaluate proposals based on the respondent's methodology, quality of goods/services, safety program, qualifications, past experience, and cost. The RFP provides a fixed-price fee schedule for various labor categories and requires respondents to provide their markup percentages for materials, equipment rentals, and subcontracting.
The University has determined that subcontracting opportunities are probable, and a Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUB) Subcontracting Plan (HSP) is required with a 32.9% HUB participation goal for special trade construction contracts. The RFP does not specify any incumbent contractors or the current service environment. The total expenditures under the Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract shall not exceed $3,000,000 over the life of the agreement.
