About this opportunity

The Alabama Department of Public Health is requesting bids to establish a contract for REMtrack Wallet Card Thermoluminescent Dosimeters (TLDs) for dosimetry services, with bids due July 16, 2026 and questions due July 10, 2026. The vendor must hold NVLAP accreditation (Code: 100555-0) and provide badges and AMP+ online management system access directly without subcontractors.

The scope covers an estimated 1,345 badges annually, plus 100 additional units for non-returned or damaged inventory, worn beginning October 1, 2026. The specified product is a 22 WB model with two natural LiF chips in wallet card format, bar-coded for user identification and tracking, with a minimum reportable dose of 20 mrem (0.20 mSv) and a useful dose range of 20 mrem to 1000 rad (0.20 mSv to 10 Gy). Photon energy response must span 20 keV to 6 MeV. The AMP+ system must support allocation across 15 locations within the account. Badge reading and shipping services carry zero dollar cost; bidders must enter $0.00 in unit price fields for these line items. Initial badge setup and AMP+ access are included at no charge.

The contract term is 12 months with options to extend for up to four additional 12-month periods, each requiring written approval from both parties at least 30 days prior to expiration. Award will be made on an "all or none" basis to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Price escalation is permitted only if material or labor costs increase significantly through no fault of the supplier, capped at the Consumer Price Index and requiring written approval. Any price decreases must be passed immediately to the state. All bids must be submitted through the Alabama Buys portal. ADPH reserves the right to not award the contract based on budget restrictions.
