About this file

This is an Agency Specifications document for the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) seeking a supplier for REMtrack Wallet Card Thermoluminescent Dosimeters (TLDs) and associated dosimetry services. ADPH is located at 208 Legends Court, Prattville, Alabama 36066. The procurement involves an estimated 1,345 badges to be purchased annually, with an additional 100 non-returned or damaged badges factored into pricing. The badges will be worn for one year beginning October 1, 2026. The specified product is a 22 WB model featuring two natural LiF chips positioned between high quality paper and polyethylene laminate material in a wallet card format with vertically and horizontally punched holes for badge clips. The badges must be bar-coded for user identification and tracking, have a minimum reportable dose of 20 mrem (0.20 mSv), and a useful dose range of 20 mrem to 1000 rad (0.20 mSv to 10 Gy), with photon energy response from 20 keV to 6 MeV.

Pricing requirements include zero dollar amounts for badge reading and shipping services. No charges apply for initial setup of new badges or access to the AMP+ online TLD management system, which must support allocation of different badge quantities across 15 locations within the account. The vendor must be capable of providing badges and AMP+ access directly without utilizing third parties or subcontractors and must hold NVLAP accreditation (Code: 100555-0). Badges will only be read in the event of a reportable radiological emergency where TLDs are issued and worn. ADPH reserves the right to not award the contract based on budget restrictions.
