About this opportunity

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is seeking contractors for a District 10 term contract involving the rebuild and/or repair of guardrail, end treatments, and attenuator parts, specifically covering nine counties including Allen County. The contract will run from January 1, 2025 through June 30, 2025, with vendors required to use pre-approved products listed on ODOT's Office of Roadway Engineering website. Contractors must be prequalified under Work Type 36, Guardrail/Attenuators, and will be responsible for rebuilding damaged guardrail, bridge rail assemblies, end treatments, and impact attenuators. Work orders will be issued by district project coordinators, with standard completion timelines of 30 days for typical repairs and 72 hours for urgent repairs. Bidders must submit electronic proposals through OhioBuys by December 17, 2024, and have an OAKS Payor ID. The contract will be awarded to multiple responsive bidders under Ohio Revised Code 5513.02, with vendors required to provide detailed pricing for various guardrail components, installation, removal, and traffic control services.

The procurement appears to have no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises, though vendors must affirm that no contract services will be performed outside the United States, with explicit prohibitions on services from Russian companies or institutions. Contractors must complete an Affirmation and Disclosure Form detailing their business locations, service delivery points, and data storage sites. While specific award values are not explicitly stated, the pricing spreadsheet includes 70 line items with unit pricing for various guardrail and attenuator services, suggesting a potentially significant contract value. The contract is subject to Ohio Prevailing Wage Laws, and pricing must remain valid for the entire contract duration. Vendors will be compensated for mobilization, with rates calculated based on distance to the first work site and inter-site travel, with hourly labor rates rounded to the nearest quarter hour. Successful contractors must maintain comprehensive insurance and comply with all ODOT construction and materials specifications.
