About this opportunity
The City of Augusta, Georgia is requesting bids for electronic waste disposal and recycling services at the Deans Bridge Road Municipal Solid Waste Facility under ITB 27-075, with sealed bids due September 22, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. A Local Bidders Preference applies to projects of $100,000 or less when the lowest local qualified bidder is within 10 percent or $10,000 of the lowest non-local bid; the Local Small Business Program Preference has been waived due to insufficient certified firms.
The scope includes pickup, legal transportation, and disposal or recycling of electronic waste generated at the facility, encompassing computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, printers, and similar equipment. Pickups occur on an as-needed basis with a three working-day response requirement. The successful vendor must provide enclosed recycling trailers, implement disposal tracking reports with specified documentation requirements, furnish certificates of insurance and destruction, and assume liability for compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
Bidders must provide unit prices for individual item categories (computers, monitors, televisions, and others) as well as bulk pricing for all electronics by ton and by pound. All fees, transportation charges, and service charges must be included in the pricing submitted; no additional charges will be accepted. The contract term is one year with four optional one-year renewal periods.
Standard compliance documentation is required, including business licenses, W-9 forms, E-Verify affidavits, non-discrimination statements, and non-collusion affidavits. Requests for clarifications must be submitted in writing to procannualbids@augustaga.gov by close of business Monday, September 14, 2026. Sealed bids will be opened in-person at the Procurement Department (535 Telfair Street, Suite 605, Augusta, GA 30901) and virtually via Microsoft Teams.
