About this file

This is an Invitation to Bid (ITB) document issued by the City of Augusta, Georgia, on behalf of the Augusta Engineering and Environmental Services Department, for electronic waste disposal and recycling services at the Deans Bridge Road Municipal Solid Waste Facility. Augusta seeks a vendor to provide pickup, legal transportation, and disposal or recycling of electronic waste generated at the facility, including computers, monitors, televisions, cell phones, printers, and similar equipment. The solicitation does not specify quantities but indicates that pickups will occur on an as-needed basis with a three working-day response requirement. Sealed bids are due Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with public bid openings held both in-person at the Procurement Department (535 Telfair Street, Suite 605, Augusta, GA 30901) and virtually via Microsoft Teams. The contract term is one year with four optional one-year renewal periods. Requests for clarifications must be submitted in writing by email to procannualbids@augustaga.gov no later than close of business Monday, September 14, 2026.

All fees, transportation charges, and service charges must be included in the unit pricing provided; no additional charges will be accepted. The cost worksheet requires bidders to provide unit prices for individual items (such as computers, monitors, and televisions) as well as bulk pricing for all electronics by ton and by pound. Successful bidders must provide enclosed recycling trailers, implement disposal tracking reports with specific documentation requirements, furnish certificates of insurance and destruction, and assume liability for compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal environmental regulations. A Local Bidders Preference applies to projects of $100,000 or less when the lowest local qualified bidder is within 10 percent or $10,000 of the lowest non-local bid. The Local Small Business Program Preference for this procurement has been waived due to insufficient certified firms. Bidders must submit standard compliance documentation including business licenses, W-9 forms, E-Verify affidavits, non-discrimination statements, and non-collusion affidavits, and must acknowledge receipt of any addenda.
