About this opportunity
The City of Sandy Springs, located in Fulton County, Georgia, is soliciting proposals through RFP #26-013 for Fiscal Year 2026 Nonprofit Arts and Recreation Grants. The procurement seeks collaborative partnerships with nonprofit organizations interested in developing or expanding arts and recreational programs specifically targeting underserved and low-income communities within Sandy Springs. Eligible program types include athletic leagues, after-school activities, transportation services, arts programs, specialty camps, and special needs programming. Proposals will be evaluated based on multiple criteria, with 40% weight given to programs meeting the needs of underserved populations. The non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for October 28, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams, with final proposals due by November 19, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST. Evaluation will assess applicants' ability to deliver accessible programs, provide detailed program metrics, outline participant demographics, and demonstrate alignment with the City's Recreation and Parks Master Plan.
Only nonprofit organizations are eligible to apply for this grant opportunity, with a maximum grant award of $15,000 per organization. Funding is strictly restricted to direct program costs serving Sandy Springs residents and includes allowable expenses such as on-site staffing, limited administrative costs, facility rental, transportation, staff and participant meals, and program supplies. All digital content and technology services must comply with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards. The City reserves the right to fund projects at a level lower than the requested amount. Applicants must demonstrate their capacity to deliver high-quality, innovative programming that fills existing gaps in current city and partner programming. Organizations are expected to serve residents in the areas where they reside, attend school, worship, or have significant community connections.
