UNSPSC 90141503: Exhibitions

UNSPSC 90141503 Exhibitions is a Commodity code that does not align with the recent state and local contract opportunities tagged under it. The opportunities posted under this code instead reflect park and facility operations, athletic programming, officiating services, and recreational instruction—activities that belong under other UNSPSC families related to sports and recreation services, facility management, or instructional delivery. No recent opportunities document actual exhibition procurement, trade show participation, or event display services that the code nominally describes.

The mismatch between code assignment and actual work being solicited makes this code an unreliable signal for business development targeting state and local buyers. The recent opportunities—including park irrigation improvements from the City of DeBary, enrichment program services from Fort Bend Independent School District, softball complex operations from the City of Olathe, youth officiating services from North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District, and athletic facility management from multiple jurisdictions—represent distinct commodity and service families unrelated to exhibitions. Absent a correction in how state and local procurement offices are tagging opportunities, vendors pursuing state and local contracts should verify the actual scope of work directly from the issuing body's solicitation documents rather than rely on this code as a procurement category.
