UNSPSC 94121501: Ice sports clubs

UNSPSC 94121501 Ice sports clubs is a Commodity code. The recent state and local opportunities tagged under this code do not align with ice-sports services. Instead, the solicitations span recreational athletics officiating and instruction, youth sports enrichment programming, athletic facility operations and leasing, and facility construction or maintenance—none involving ice sports or ice skating. The code shows no relevant recent activity in state and local procurement.

The mismatch appears systematic: the tagged opportunities address park irrigation improvements, youth basketball officiating, out-of-school enrichment programs, softball complex operations, youth volleyball officials, watersports instruction, athletic trainer services, and similar general recreation and sports management work. None of these represent the ice skating clubs, ice hockey leagues, or ice sports instruction that the commodity code nominally describes. Procurement professionals evaluating this code should verify their opportunity-sourcing systems or cross-reference with broader recreation and sports-services codes that better capture the actual state and local buying patterns visible in current solicitations.
