The contract is subject to prevailing wage requirements established by the California Department of Industrial Relations, and if the total bid exceeds $25,000, both the contractor and all subcontractors must register as public works contractors with the Department of Industrial Relations. The DMV offers Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation incentives of up to 5% for bids committing to at least 3% DVBE subcontractor participation. All contractors and subcontractors must maintain comprehensive insurance coverage including commercial general liability, automobile liability, cargo liability, and workers' compensation insurance with the State of California listed as an additional insured. The estimated total contract cost is $551,445.50, with payment structured on hourly rates for labor, travel compensation, and daily storage fees.
