About this opportunity

The State of Maine Department of Administrative and Financial Services, Division of Procurement Services, acting on behalf of the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife, is requesting quotations for a 225 horsepower, 4-stroke marine engine to be installed on a 2003 Boston Whaler boat under RFQ 09A 220518-310, with quotations due June 1, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.

The scope calls for one 3.4L displacement V6 engine with dual overhead cam and 24-valve configuration, 5200–6000 RPM full throttle rating, 85-amp alternator, electric start with smart start protection, hydraulic steering, 25-inch shaft length, and approximately 475 pounds dry weight. Installation is included, performed either at a location within fifty miles of the Gray Headquarters or at the Gray facility itself. Bidders must submit product data sheets documenting compliance with specifications, warranty information, a quote on company letterhead, and an audit report if documents are electronically signed. Pricing must include all shipping charges to the destination (FOB Destination) with no separate tax charges, and must be quoted as unit pricing using numbers and decimal points only, along with estimated calendar days from contract award to receipt.

The State reserves the right to negotiate the purchase of additional units at the bid price for six months following award. Quotations must remain firm and binding for 180 days from bid opening. Award will be made to the lowest-priced bidder whose submission conforms to specifications, unless the Division declines to award based on documented poor performance or a contract terminated or not renewed within the previous five years. Questions must be submitted through the State of Maine's Vendor Self Service (VSS) system no later than forty-eight hours before closure. Responses are entered electronically through VSS.
