About this opportunity
Cape May Municipal Authority is soliciting bids for miscellaneous landfill cap liner repair services on an as-needed basis, with proposals due November 17, 2026.
The scope encompasses extrusion welding of in-place HDPE or LLDPE materials and replacement of damaged sections; repair or installation of sew-and-stitch scrim-reinforced liner and windscreen ballast; and removal of impurities that prevent proper material union during welding. The contractor must prepare work areas, seal or reseal breaks, cuts, tears, and openings in existing liner materials, and maintain an impermeable and stable surface using common industry standards. Existing geomembrane materials are 40 or 60 mil thickness with smooth or textured surfaces; supplementary cap liner materials include 20 mil scrim-reinforced liner and windscreen ballast.
Qualifications: The contractor must provide one lead worker/field supervisor with a minimum of two years' experience seaming liner material and sufficient skilled crew members to ensure timely progress. The contractor furnishes all labor, materials, equipment, tools, power sources, welding materials, and miscellaneous supplies required to complete repairs to industry standards. The Cape May Municipal Authority will prepare work sites—including sweeping, shoveling, washing, and scrubbing to clear access to work areas—and will remove and replace weights such as tires or earth used to hold materials in place.
No contract value, term length, or incumbent information is provided in the source. No set-asides, preference programs, or additional timeline milestones appear in the posted solicitation.
