Dutchess County Water and Wastewater Authority is requesting sealed bids for a 2027 Generator Maintenance and Service Agreement covering 25 facility locations throughout Dutchess County, New York, with bids due August 27, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. The contract is subject to New York State Department of Labor prevailing wage requirements, and bidders must obtain a NYS DOL Contractor Registration Certificate prior to submission.
The scope comprises semi-annual preventive maintenance performed in May and November at water treatment facilities, wastewater treatment facilities, lift stations, and booster stations. November service includes all May tasks except oil and filter changes and fuel filter changes. Contractors must submit line-item pricing separately for each of the 25 locations and each service visit, with all costs (labor, equipment, fuel, transportation, and supplies) included in the quoted rates. The bidder must also provide hourly rates for emergency services outside normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday) with a mandatory one-hour response time. Facility site visits may be scheduled in advance with designated staff.
The contract runs January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027. The Authority will award within 60 days of bid receipt. Written questions are due August 18, 2026, with responses issued by addendum August 20. The successful bidder must provide workers' compensation insurance, general and auto liability coverage of $1,000,000 each, excess liability coverage of $3,000,000 naming the Authority as additional insured, a W-9 form, and a Certificate of Non-Collusion within 15 days of award.
