About this opportunity
Genesee Intermediate School District is requesting proposals for a master price list of surveillance camera systems and equipment under RFP 2026-GISD-SC, with sealed bids due July 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at GISD Entrance #1, 2413 West Maple Avenue, Flint, Michigan. The scope establishes pricing from which GISD and participating Genesee County school districts may purchase cameras and licensing; GISD reserves the right to split the award among multiple vendors.
The base bid requires pricing for a standard 2-megapixel internal camera and a 5-megapixel external bullet camera meeting minimum specifications including ONVIF compliance, motion detection, and Power over Ethernet or PoE+ support. Vendors must provide line-item pricing for cameras compatible with Avigilon (versions 7 and 8), exacqVision, Digital Watchdog, and Verkada systems; licensing costs across multiple software releases with volume discount options; DVR/NVR storage solutions ranging 32TB to 120TB; and optional installation labor (hourly rates, half-day and full-day job pricing, network-drop installation costs). Pricing must remain firm through July 31, 2027 and include all labor, materials, shipping, and insurance in turnkey delivery.
All bid submissions require a notarized Familial Relationship Disclosure Statement under Public Act 232 of 2004, an Iran Economic Sanctions Act Certification confirming the vendor is not an "Iran Linked Business" under MCL 129.311 et seq., and a School Safety Affidavit certifying that all personnel comply with Michigan statutes MCL 380.1230 et seq. and have not been convicted of specified offenses. All personnel working on GISD property must be fingerprinted and provide criminal background checks. Vendors must comply with federal, state, and local regulations, OSHA requirements, and provide asbestos-free and lead-free materials.
A pre-bid meeting for service-requirement clarification is referenced in the project description. Questions are due in writing by July 23, 2026 to Scott Hartman, Technical Services Supervisor. Bid opening is anticipated July 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Award is anticipated at a subsequent regular board meeting. Bids must be submitted on the official GISD Bid Form in one original and two copies, signed by an authorized representative.
