About this file

This is a Request for Proposal (RFP) document for the Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) in Michigan seeking pricing for surveillance camera systems and related equipment. The RFP objective is to establish a master price list for cameras and licensing compatible with Avigilon, exacqVision, Digital Watchdog, and Verkada systems, with pricing available to all schools within Genesee County. Vendors must submit responses by July 30, 2026 at 2:00 PM. The base bid requires pricing for a standard 2-megapixel internal camera and a 5-megapixel external bullet camera meeting specified technical requirements. Additional bid components include licensing costs for current and previous software releases with multi-pack and volume discount options, line item pricing for cameras listed in Attachment B1 with associated mounts and shipping costs, DVR/NVR unit pricing with network interface specifications, and optional installation services. Cameras must meet minimum requirements including 2-megapixel resolution, motion detection capability, PoE or PoE+ support, and compatibility with the four designated systems or ONVIF standards.

Pricing must remain valid through July 31, 2027, with vendors having the option to include catalog discount percentages off manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) if subject to changes. Vendors may optionally provide installation costs including hourly rates for labor, drive time, and network cabling installation, with specific estimates required for 4-hour and 8-hour installations. The RFP represents GISD's effort to consolidate purchasing across Genesee County schools, which have purchased over 1,000 new cameras since 2015. No specific funding amounts, set-asides, or incumbent contractor information is provided in the document.
