About this opportunity
Grand County, Utah is requesting proposals for provision, lease, installation, maintenance, and removal of a Christmas and holiday lighting display along the Colorado River pedestrian bridge and at Lion's Park, with proposals due October 25, 2026.
The scope encompasses illuminated cottonwood trees (approximately 24,000 lights), twenty-five lighted snowflakes (18 to 24 inches) on the rock wall, approximately 1,000 lights on the handrail, 6,000+ C9 bulbs on the bridge (an increase from approximately 2,000 in 2025), and six five-foot lighted snowflakes on the bridge. Installation must be completed and fully operational by November 6, 2026; removal occurs between January 5 and January 12, 2027. The display shall generally replicate the 2025 installation with identified additions and modifications. The Contractor must coordinate with the County's project manager to minimize disruption to public use and provide a final inspection demonstrating all elements are installed, operational, and uniform in appearance.
The Contractor retains ownership of all leased materials and is responsible for maintaining them in good working condition throughout the project period, with defective or damaged components repaired or replaced at no additional cost to the County except where damage results from County negligence or intentional acts. The Contractor shall evaluate available electrical service, provide all temporary electrical connections, extension cords, distribution equipment, timers, and at least one generator, ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and safety requirements.
Pricing must include product lease, installation, maintenance and troubleshooting telephone support, removal, and storage of materials between annual installations. All labor, equipment, tools, lifts, vehicles, and installation hardware are the Contractor's responsibility.
