The Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD) is soliciting sealed bids for PE Uniforms and Related Apparel (Bid No. 2026-26) to supply approximately 15,000 custom-printed garments for junior high and high school students across 17 school sites. The procurement includes an estimated 14,000 Gildan DryBlend t-shirts in standard sizes (XS-XXL) and extended sizes (XXXL-XXXXXL); approximately 5,000-8,700 shorts in two Dodger style options with 7-inch and 9-inch inseams in standard and extended sizes; and optional Gildan Heavy Blend sweatshirts and sweatpants. All items require custom silkscreen printing with school-specific artwork provided by the District, and samples in all sizes must be provided at no cost within two business days of request. The contract term is one year with options to renew for two additional one-year periods, with initial deliveries required no later than two weeks before school begins and subsequent reorders within five to seven business days of receipt. Sealed bids must be submitted online through the AUHSD Bonfire Procurement Portal no later than March 12, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. PST, with written clarification requests due by February 26, 2026. Pricing must be submitted F.O.B. Destination with freight prepaid to Anaheim, California, including all setup fees and artwork charges in unit prices and excluding sales tax. Bidders must demonstrate three years of similar experience, provide at least three client references, maintain Commercial General Liability coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 annual aggregate, Workers' Compensation insurance, and Business Automobile Liability coverage. The District reserves the right to award the contract to a single bidder or make multiple awards, will consider 30-day or longer cash discounts in bid evaluation, and prohibits price increases for the first year with any subsequent increases requiring documentation and justification. All goods must comply with Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Product Safety Commission guidelines for flammability and labeling, be free from known carcinogens, and include a 30-day warranty against defects.
No specific set-aside designations, disadvantaged enterprise provisions, or restrictions on organization types are identified in the bid documents. Bidders must obtain valid criminal records summaries from the California Department of Justice for all employees who will have student contact and certify that no employees have been convicted of violent or serious felonies as defined under California Penal Code sections 667.5(c) and 1192.7(c). No incumbent vendors or current contractors are identified in the solicitation materials. Bidders must comply with California Education Code Sections 45125.1 and 45125.2 regarding employee background checks, maintain drug and alcohol-free and tobacco-free work environments, and execute a non-collusion declaration under penalty of perjury. The District includes a piggyback provision allowing other California school districts to utilize the awarded contract under Public Contract Code Sections 20118 and 20652, with the successful bidder responsible for providing legal documentation to other districts choosing this option. No specific budget range or award value is disclosed in the available bid documents.
