About this opportunity

The City of Jasper, located in Peach County, Georgia, is issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for stormwater infrastructure repairs targeting three specific locations: a culvert along Squaw Valley Road, a culvert along Stegall Drive, and curbing adjustments at the intersection of Mary Street and Stegall Drive. The procurement seeks a qualified professional company to conduct comprehensive repair work with an anticipated contract award by August 4, 2025. Proposals will be evaluated using a 100-point matrix that assesses company information/experience (20 points), proposed scope of work (40 points), and project delivery (40 points), with the city reserving the right to select none, one, or all projects based on best value. A mandatory site visit is scheduled for June 26th at 2:00 p.m., beginning at Jasper City Hall, where interested offerors can inspect project sites. Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. EST on July 21, 2025, with submission requirements including an original signed proposal, five duplicates, and an electronic copy on a flash drive or CD.

No specific set-aside designations or restrictions for disadvantaged enterprises are explicitly mentioned in the procurement documents. A bid security of 5% of the bid amount is required, and payment will be structured as progress payments based on percentage of completion. The City maintains flexibility in the procurement process, allowing for non-binding cost estimate discussions and potential informal interviews with qualified respondents. While specific budget ranges are not disclosed, the city will negotiate final pricing with top-ranked offerors. The procurement appears open to a wide range of professional contractors with demonstrated expertise in stormwater infrastructure repair, with the evaluation heavily weighted toward the construction team's qualifications, experience, and ability to complete the work effectively and efficiently.
