About this opportunity

Central Utah 911 is soliciting proposals from qualified electrical contractors to reuse, relocate, and extend dispatch floor power for 30 new console positions, with proposals due November 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time. A mandatory site visit must occur between November 9 and November 17, 2026, at 3047 N 400 W, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660.

The scope covers reusing, relocating, and extending approximately 22 existing power feeds, plus adding power and circuits where needed, for 90 receptacles total: one UPS-backed and two generator-backed receptacles at each console position. Contractors must maintain current licenses, obtain required permits, comply with applicable electrical and building codes, and provide evidence of workers' compensation, employers' liability, and commercial general liability insurance before work begins. The contractor must protect active temporary dispatch operations and building systems, with any shutdown or interruption requiring advance written approval. No energized or invasive inspections are permitted without authorization and established safety procedures.

Pricing covers labor, materials, permits, testing, labeling, and closeout documentation, with a minimum 12-month warranty following final acceptance. Evaluation totals 100 points: total proposed cost (30), project schedule and completion timeline (25), technical approach and scope completeness (25), relevant experience and references (15), and warranty and post-installation support (5). Selection rests on best overall value, and the lowest-priced proposal will not necessarily win. Central Utah 911 anticipates selecting a contractor on December 10, 2026, with work scheduled between January 4 and January 15, 2027.

Written questions are due November 17, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Mountain Time, with answers issued by November 19, 2026. Roy Evans is the coordinating contact at rfp@centralutah911.gov. The solicitation is posted under Utah County, Utah.
