About this opportunity

The Florida Department of Military Affairs is soliciting bids for the repair and maintenance of a Sand Blasting Booth/Dust Collector system located at the Allied Trades Shop, CSMS, within the Camp Blanding Joint Training Center in Starke, Florida. The procurement is a comprehensive project involving initial system repairs and a subsequent two-year maintenance contract with quarterly inspections. Key deliverables include complete system restoration, proper start-up procedures, and contractor-provided training, with anticipated repair work beginning April 1, 2025, and expected completion by May 1, 2025. Bidders must submit detailed pricing breakdowns encompassing materials, labor, and maintenance contract costs, with completion time potentially factoring into evaluation considerations. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is scheduled for March 7, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST, and final bids are due March 27, 2025, by 4:00 PM EST. Vendor qualifications include demonstrating at least three years of continuous operation in similar services and being registered in MyFloridaMarketPlace prior to contract award.

Specific vendor requirements include maintaining general liability insurance with minimum coverage of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per occurrence for bodily injury, and $100,000 for property damage. The solicitation requires compliance with Buy America preferences per federal requirements, indicating potential restrictions on equipment and material sourcing. The existing equipment is a Donaldson DFT 4-32 system with specific filter part numbers P031049, which suggests potential integration requirements for prospective contractors. The estimated expenditure for repairs is approximately $50,000, with the possibility of a multi-year maintenance contract extension based on vendor performance. While no specific set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises are explicitly mentioned, the procurement appears open to qualified vendors who can meet the technical and insurance requirements outlined in the solicitation documents.
