About this opportunity
The State of Maine's Division of Purchases is soliciting bids for a one-year contract to supply torque wrenches, with proposals due October 16, 2009.
The scope requires torque wrenches with all-steel split-beam design, 3/8-inch square drive, approximately 48 inches overall length, nickel/chrome finish, and measurement capability in either direction within 200–600 foot-pound range with scales in 10 foot-pound increments. All wrenches must comply with ANSI B107.14M and GGG-W-686C standards. The manufacturer must provide a minimum one-year warranty covering workmanship and materials. Wrenches may be supplied as single or multi-piece configurations.
Ordering procedures require Delivery Orders created in AdvantageME for all orders against Master Agreements unless payment is made via Maine Procurement Card. Orders of $5,000 or less are emailed as PDF files directly to the vendor by the using agency; orders exceeding $5,000 require Division of Purchases Buyers approval and encumbrance prior to vendor notification. Delivery must strictly adhere to the Division's specified schedule, with the contractor bearing the cost of expedited routing if delivery schedules are not met. All articles are subject to final inspection and approval after delivery, with the Division retaining the right to reject non-conforming items or entire shipments where sample inspection discloses ten percent or more defective articles.
The State Purchasing Director reserves the right to extend the contract period beyond the one-year expiration date with contractor consent. The Director of the Division of Purchases may cancel the contract with thirty days' written notice. The contractor must indemnify and defend the Bureau of General Services and its officers from all claims and losses arising from the contractor's performance. The agreement is governed by Maine state law.
