About this opportunity

The Department of Labor's Employment and Training Administration is seeking applications for the National Farmworker Jobs Program (NFJP) Grants for Career Services and Training. This grant opportunity will fund approximately $90 million in awards to provide workforce services and training to migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their dependents. Eligible applicants include state governments and other organizations that serve farmworkers. The grants will be awarded based on factors such as geographic distribution, applicant category, and target population. Key program requirements include incorporating DOL's Good Jobs Principles and excluding H-2A workers from receiving training services. Applications are due by May 3, 2024.

The NFJP grants will range from $70,000 to $10 million depending on the state, and the period of performance is 51 months from July 2024 to September 2028. The Department plans to award up to 7 grants in California and up to 2 grants in certain other states, with the goal of funding 50 to 75 grants in total across the country.
