About this opportunity

The National Science Foundation is soliciting applications for the Established Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR) Workshop Opportunities program, which funds workshops addressing multi-jurisdictional efforts on themes of regional or national importance; the source does not specify an application deadline.

Applicants must be institutions or organizations located within EPSCoR-eligible jurisdictions (states, territories, and commonwealths). Eligible applicant types include institutions of higher education (both PhD-granting and non-PhD-granting) accredited in and with a campus in the United States, its territories, or possessions; non-profit, non-degree-granting domestic U.S. organizations including independent museums, science centers, observatories, research laboratories, and professional societies directly associated with the Nation's research or educational activities, provided they have independent permanent administrative organization and 501(c)(3) tax status; and federally recognized American Indian or Alaska Native tribes, bands, nations, pueblos, villages, or communities. Proposals may be submitted only by institutions or organizations within EPSCoR-eligible jurisdictions, acting on behalf of faculty members or employees.

Workshops must focus on innovative approaches to address multi-jurisdictional efforts with relevance to NSF and EPSCoR goals and mission. The program seeks to promote sustainable improvements in research infrastructure, R&D capacity, and R&D competitiveness within eligible jurisdictions through partnerships among academic institutions, government, industry, and non-profit sectors.
