The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is seeking applicants to conduct an epidemiologic cohort study of interstitial cystitis. Eligible applicants must have access to an existing interstitial cystitis patient cohort of at least 200 patients that can be followed in 2024. The purpose is to define the demographic and clinical patterns of interstitial cystitis over time, document its health impacts, and translate findings into strategies for improving quality of life, increasing provider awareness, and strengthening medical and self-management of the condition. Indirect costs are limited to 8% of modified total direct costs. Applications are due February 9, 2024 and will be evaluated based on technical merit, qualifications of investigators, and relevance to program priorities.

Anticipated total funding is unspecified; the Assistance Listing Number is 93.945 and funding is provided under the Assistance Programs for Chronic Disease Prevention and Control program. Performance sites may include locations accessible to the existing interstitial cystitis patient cohort.
