About this opportunity
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Public Health Service is seeking applications for the Ensuring Research Integrity - Program Development and Evaluation Program (PDE). The program aims to support the development and implementation of innovative approaches and tools to promote research integrity and prevent misconduct. Key objectives include creating educational resources, designing risk assessment tools, and implementing intervention programs to improve data management, foster ethical leadership, and enhance research culture. Eligible applicants include universities, hospitals, laboratories, and other public or private institutions. Proposals will be evaluated based on their ability to meet the program's goals and produce tangible outcomes related to ensuring research integrity and compliance with regulations.
The program expects to fund awards in 12-month budget periods for a total period of performance up to 24 months. Recent federal grant awards under the Research on Research Integrity program have ranged from approximately $40,000 to $750,000. Work may be performed at locations determined by the grantees, but must focus on Public Health Service-funded research communities.
