About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration is conducting a Sources Sought Notice for a Multiple Award Task Order Contract (MATOC) to perform maintenance, repair, and construction services at the Coatesville VA Medical Center in Pennsylvania. The government seeks to identify qualified contractors capable of executing construction projects across various trades and disciplines, with a focus on commercial and institutional building construction. Potential respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management, provide proof of CVE certification for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), and submit their tax ID number and past performance details. Interested contractors are required to submit a statement of interest, capability statement, and specify their intended performance structure by February 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM EST. All questions related to the Sources Sought Notice must be submitted via email to vanessa.chmielewski@va.gov by February 11, 2025, at 4:00 PM EST.
The contract opportunity is specifically set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, with the VA planning to award approximately six Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts. The total contract value is anticipated to be around $150 million over a five-year performance period, with individual task orders ranging from $2,500 to $30 million. The NAICS codes associated with this contract include 236 Construction of Buildings and 238 Specialty Trade Contractors, with a primary focus on the 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction category. While most task orders are expected to fall under this primary NAICS code, the contract will provide flexibility for specialty construction projects such as plumbing and electrical work. Contractors will be evaluated on their ability to perform multi-disciplined construction services within the geographical area of their proposal, with the VA seeking to establish a robust pool of qualified service providers for future task order competitions.
