About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 8 is seeking qualified contractors to design and install comprehensive exterior signage and wayfinding infrastructure at the Thomas H. Corey VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida. The project scope encompasses directional wayfinding signage, building identification signs, parking garage and lot identification, vehicle and pedestrian route markers, monument and marquee signs, and campus perimeter entry point signage. This is a Bid-Build firm fixed-price contract requiring contractors to provide all labor, tools, materials, and associated equipment necessary for project completion. While the pre-solicitation notice does not explicitly detail evaluation criteria, the project documentation indicates that contractors must comply with comprehensive specifications covering 31 divisions of work, including electrical installations with LED lighting, structural engineering requirements, OSHA safety protocols, and infection control measures. The formal solicitation is scheduled for issuance on or about April 8, 2026, with a pre-solicitation response deadline of April 7, 2026 at 10:00 AM Eastern Time, and interested parties should direct inquiries to Contract Specialist Melissa Everett at Melissa.Everett@va.gov or Contracting Officer Stacy Figlinski at Stacy.Figlinski@va.gov.
This procurement is 100 percent set-aside exclusively for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), with no incumbent contractor identified in the available documentation. The estimated contract value ranges between $500,000 and $1,000,000, with a firm fixed-price structure and a performance period of 270 calendar days from award. Work hours are scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., unless otherwise approved by the Contracting Officer's Representative. The project requires submission of comprehensive phasing plans and monthly progress reports, with all electrical connections and sign footings necessitating approval by a Florida Licensed Structural Engineer prior to execution. Contractors must also comply with specialized requirements including Interim Life Safety Measures, pre-construction risk assessments, asbestos management protocols, and COVID-19 precautions, with a minimum four-day advance notice required for any disruptions to normal medical center operations.
