About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration is seeking a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) contractor to perform daycare playground fence repair at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center. The project involves providing personnel, equipment, and tools to repair the existing fence, including welding braces to perimeter fence posts, reconnecting fence rails, and installing new mesh posts. Contractors must be registered in SAM.gov and verified through SBA VetCert, with the specific NAICS code 238290 (Other Building Equipment Contractors) and a size standard of $22 million. The solicitation, designated as Request for Quote Number 36C24225Q0368, is expected to be issued around March 5th, 2025, with responses due by March 21, 2025. A mandatory site visit will be held, with details to be included in the Request for Quote (RFQ), and all questions must be submitted in writing to Charlie Augustin at Charlie.Augustin@va.gov.
The contract is a 100% set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, with strict verification requirements through the SBA's VetCert program. The project scope requires the selected contractor to complete all fence repair work within 30 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed, and the contractor must provide a one-year guarantee on all work performed. While specific award value is not disclosed, the NAICS code size standard of $22 million suggests potential flexibility in project scale. The procurement is specifically for the NY Harbor Healthcare System Brooklyn Campus, located at 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209. Interested contractors must ensure they meet all registration and certification requirements, including being verified as an SDVOSB at the time of offer submission and before contract award.
