About this opportunity
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has issued a Sources Sought Notice seeking information from potential contractors capable of providing Youth After-School Programming (YAP) services under the agency's National Community Outreach Engagement Strategy (NCOES). The procurement involves delivering comprehensive afterschool youth engagement programs across all 23 DEA field divisions, with programming focused on drug prevention and community outreach through various formats including dance, e-sports, STEM, fine arts, teen academies, martial arts, and sports activities. Contractors must demonstrate expertise in youth programming, substance use prevention, and the Strategic Prevention Framework, while coordinating closely with local DEA field offices to conduct 20-week programs that include launch assemblies and drug prevention education components. The DEA will evaluate responses based on vendors' capabilities and experience in delivering similar youth engagement services. This Request for Information is due by 10:00 AM EST on July 15, 2025, with responses to be submitted to Ana Villanueva via email, and serves purely as market research for preliminary planning purposes.
The solicitation does not currently designate any set-aside category, though the DEA indicates the eventual procurement may result in either a small business set-aside or full and open competition. The DEA Education Foundation is identified as the current incumbent contractor providing these services. The anticipated contract period spans five years, from December 31, 2025, through December 30, 2030, representing a substantial long-term commitment to youth programming initiatives. Each afterschool program is expected to serve an average of 20 students, with contractors required to provide monthly status reports and comprehensive end-of-program analytics to track program effectiveness. The scope encompasses programming delivery across the entire national network of DEA field divisions, indicating a significant geographic and operational reach for the selected contractor.
