About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 6 is conducting market research to identify potential contractors for a Generator Exhaust Modification project at the Durham VA Medical Center Campus in Durham, North Carolina. This sources sought notice seeks construction services to modify the exhaust system for three diesel generators located in Building 18 within Building 1 of the facility, with work including general construction and alterations, installation of new exhaust fans, and all associated facade and roof repairs. No current contractors or incumbents are identified in the notice. The anticipated construction magnitude ranges between $500,000 and $1,000,000, with an expected performance period of 270 days from the Notice to Proceed. The project is classified under PSC code Y1JZ for Construction of Miscellaneous Buildings. This market research phase will inform the government's acquisition strategy and potential set-aside requirements for the eventual formal solicitation. The project specifically involves modifications to exhaust systems for three backup diesel generators to address current deficiencies in their ventilation routing.
